The "Think Step-by-Step" Magic Phrase.
The Tip: Whenever you ask an AI to solve a complex problem, do a calculation, or logic-based task, add the phrase "Think step-by-step" or "Show your reasoning" to the end of your prompt.
Why it works: AI models use a process called "Chain of Thought" processing. If you just ask for a final answer, the AI might "guess" the next word too quickly and make a mistake. By forcing it to explain its steps, you are essentially giving the AI "scratchpad" space to work through the logic. Research shows this simple phrase can increase the accuracy of AI responses by over 50% for complex tasks!
